Line Up Confirmed for the Second Annual EIBTM Forum

After its successful launch last year, the EIBTM Forum is set to return to this year’s show, on Monday 18th November. Facilitated by Nadine Dereza, the opening session, scheduled to take place from 16:30 - 18:30 in the Fira Montjuic, will set the tone for the three days of business, education and networking ahead.

This year, EIBTM has invited esteemed speaker James Woudhuysen, Professor of Forecasting and Innovation at De Montfort University, Leicester to headline the Forum with his keynote session; 'A New Perspective on the Meetings Industry'.

Graeme Barnett, Reed Travel Exhibitions, Senior Exhibition Director, EIBTM commented: “James is renowned for his ability to spot trends and offer counter-intuitive proposals on what to do about them. Occasionally controversial, wonderfully insightful, we hope this opening session of EIBTM will leave you inspired and motivated to do business as we open the show for 2013."

James’ session will be followed by the presentation of the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC) Power and Profile Award, which was established by the Council as a way of recognising individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing the awareness and influence of the Meetings Industry in their respective communities.

The EIBTM Forum will also be the platform for the presentation of the second ‘EIBTM Lifetime Achievement Award’, which will be given to a figurehead of the international meetings industry in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the sector.

The Forum will be followed by an exclusive invitation only networking event held at the Rey Juan Carlos, Barcelona.

EIBTM 2013 will take place from 19th – 21st November, a week earlier than in previous years. The EIBTM Forum will take place the day before the exhibition on 18th November.
