AFG Welcomes New Executive Director

The Association Foundation Group (AFG) has announced the appointment of Gregory Morrison as the organization’s new Executive Director. In this role, Morrison will lead AFG’s efforts to serve association fundraising and association foundation professionals by providing education, research and information resources necessary to meet the unique needs of this community. Amy Lotz, CAE, has served as the Executive Director since July 2010. Lotz will remain with Coulter, AFG’s association management company, where she has served key roles with a number of clients for over a decade.

“The AFG Board is very enthusiastic about our new ED, Greg Morrison. We know that he will follow in Amy Lotz's footsteps as an ED that can move AFG to still greater service to our members. Welcome Greg,” said Kae Dakin, President, AFG.

“I am thrilled and honored to serve as AFG’s next executive director,” said Morrison. “I look forward to collaborating with the AFG Board and the association foundation community to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and usher in AFG’s next 25 years of success as the leading source of education, ideas and advancement for the association fundraising professional.”

Morrison has over eight years of nonprofit and trade association experience including work with: Conservation International, Association Media & Publishing, Alliance for Community Media and the Farm Credit Council. With experience in board relations, organizational governance, membership management and federal policy, Morrison has a strong understanding of Washington’s inner workings. Morrison’s fundraising experience includes major donor stewardship for executive leadership, foundation relations and the management of individual giving campaigns. Gregory has consistently exceeded budgeted fundraising goals for corporate and individual sponsorship development for several large national conferences.
