BDP Renews Their Sponsorship with Copenhagen CityBee Association

In May 2012, BDP signed their first sponsorship with Copenhagen CityBee Association and adopted 140.000 bees at Carlsberg Brewery. The organisation has established an urban honey factory, where homeless and refugees take care of the three million bees. The project has been a great success and BDP has decided to support Copenhagen CityBee Association for the second year in a row.

Hanne Nehmar, CEO at BDP said: “Supporting the CityBee project, BDP is making an investment in concrete environmental improvements in Copenhagen. The partnership is in line with BDPs policy of striving to find environmental friendly opportunities.“

"The sponsorship means, that BDP continue the experience and offers educational and green tours for tourists and businesses visiting Copenhagen, where they can get insight into the honeybee’s fantastic world and learn about environment, business and society – and of course taste the city."

Oliver Maxwell, Director of Copenhagen CityBee Association said: “Firstly, it means that we are able to support training of ex-homeless beekeepers and secure that there are bees in the city. Secondly we are also excited about learning from BDP about how to present and share our view of Copenhagen, so more people taste the honey from the heart of the city and learn about the work we do to make Copenhagen buzz with life!"

About BDP: Your Best Destination Partner was established in 1997 in Copenhagen.
