Reed Travel Exibitions apoints sales manager in Dubai

Shinu Pillai has been appointed to the position of Regional Sales Manager UAE and Middle East for Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) Meeting & Incentives Portfolio, based in Dubai. As part of his responsibilities he will actively market, to the region, the meeting and incentives portfolio of shows including GIBTM in Abu Dhabi, EIBTM in Barcelona, CIBTM in Beijing, AIBTM in Baltimore and AIME in Melbourne.

His primary focus will be GIBTM - the leading exhibition dedicated to the meetings, incentive events and business travel industry in the Gulf and wider Middle East region. This year’s event takes place from 29 – 31 March at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Graeme Barnett, Exhibition Director for GIBTM says: “Shinu will be a great addition to our specialist meetings industry team bringing his strong sales and marketing experience and knowledge of the industry in the region acquired over many years. Shinu’s appointment is further evidence of our commitment to provide local and international customers with access to recognised industry professionals who have the ability to create winning business propositions. ”

Shinu, based in the UAE since 1996, has worked in the exhibition industry for the past nine years and was a key player in the launch and marketing in 2007 of the Business Travel Show in Dubai.
