Travel and tourism specialist David Armstrong has been appointed new Managing Director at Congrex Travel AG with immediate effect. He succeeds Claudia Scherrer who will dedicate herself to the position of Operations Director.

David Armstrong has last been Managing Director of PDM Travel AG, a group of companies based in Switzerland and Austria mainly engaged in Europe-wide destination management and procurement for American tour operators.

Previously, he has held various executive positions in the FTI Group in Germany, including as Managing Director of the subsidiaries fly.de and LAL Sprachreisen, and a leading position establishing the platform ocean24.com.

“We warmly welcome David Armstrong to the Congrex Group and we wish him every success with his new challenge," said Congrex’ Regional Managing Director Alain Pittet.

“I look forward to further developing Congrex Travel’s services as a world-wide travel and accommodation provider for event participants,” said Armstrong.
