Orlando to Host the 2013 Site Global Conference

The Site International Board of Directors have chosen Orlando, Florida to serve as the home for 2013 Site Global Conference. The event will be held 6-8 December 2013 at the Loew's Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando. On an annual basis this event brings together professionals from over 40 countries who focus on creating excellence and establishing standards in the motivational experiences industry.

"On behalf of the entire destination, Visit Orlando is thrilled to welcome Site in 2013. This is a wonderful opportunity for Site attendees from all around the world to come and see many of the new developments in Orlando," said Tammi Runzler, Senior VP of Sales & Service for the Orlando Convention and Visitor's Bureau. "The destination continues to evolve at an amazing pace, and so many of the new hotels, attractions, and amenities that have recently come onboard are truly ideal for the incentive travel market. We are looking forward to showcasing our destination, and making sure that absolutely everyone has an incredible time during the 2013 conference."

Iconic entertainment destination

"Site is pleased to be partnering with Orlando and Universal Studios to host our 2013 Global Conference. The destination is a master in the hosting of VIP global visitors, corporate and association meetings. Orlando's scale, diverse visitor attractions, world-class hotels and massive air lift make it an ideal destination for our marquis Site event," said David Sand, Site 2013 President-Elect and CEO of Uwin Iwin Incentives, Johannesburg, South Africa. "Conference delegates will be encouraged to bring their families and extend their stay to experience the magic of Universal and feel of this truly iconic entertainment destination."

Milestone year for Site

2013 will be a milestone year for Site as it celebrates its 40th anniversary as a global association for the incentive travel and motivational events industry. Site began as an idea; a forum launched in 1973 when 11 incentive travel colleagues decided to create the first international nonprofit association dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in incentive travel and motivational events. Since its official incorporation almost 40 years ago, Site has grown to nearly 2,000 members in 90 countries with 28 regional chapters.
