Chinese Version Of Mamma Mia! To Be Staged In Shanghai

The characters, the story and the music of the global smash hit Mamma Mia! have fascinated over 42 million people all around the world or 18,000 audience members every night on average. The Chinese take on the musical, the fourteenth language version, starts its Shanghai tour and will run at Shanghai Grand Theater from 8 July to 5 August 2011.

The Chinese version is a remake of the original version but features Chinese flourishes such as the ethnic group dances of Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia.

The production features an all-star lineup composed of entertainers selected during a six month process from Mainland China and Taiwan.
