Meetings International's global magazine has been nominated to the Global Vision Award by the Canadian Tourism Commission.
The prize is awarded for the first time ever on Imex Trade Fair in Frankfurt for an organization, newspaper or partner that highlighted Canada as an important meeting and incentive country.
– Canada was the first to map the entire meetings industry in economic terms, together with the MPI Foundation and Maritz in a White Paper, which since then stands as a model for the whole meeting and event industry and is the basis for how the UNWTO want the meeting industry to be mapped in an international perspective. Canada is in many ways a model for how we could work in Sweden, says editor in chief Atti Soenarso.
– Last fall, I was with the Toronto Film Festival and the training program "Behind the scenes', a program that, thanks to its thoughtful content, and collaboration with the Rotman Business School could be a model for creating more tourism organizations, convention bureaus and local partners to develop conceptual and implementation terms with their customers.
