Tokyo to Host the IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications in 2023

Tokyo Convention Visitors Bureau has placed thewinning bid to host the IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications (INFOCOM) on April 25-27, 2023.

The Conference will appeal to researchers and practitioners and expects to attract about 900 specialists from more than ten countries. The first INFOCOM was organized in 1982 and has since been held annually, including once in Kobe, Japan, in 1997 experts will engage in presentations during this top rank conference and exchange significant and innovative ideas on computer communications.

The three-day main intensive program of IEEE INFOCOM covers both theoretical and systems research. The conference will be filled with a leading technical program, a keynote speech, panel discussions and poster sessions Numerous workshops will be held one day prior to the main program.

Specialists in Japan are very active members of the IEEE Communications Society Their strong enthusiasm to hold the Conference in Tokyo was the main factor for the bid win Another decisive factor was the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG)’s in kind and financial support, an ample amount of which assured organizers that the capital of Japan is the ideal place to hold the Conference. In addition to the above factors, the Tokyo business event industry’s initiatives of thorough implementation of safety and security measures following the guidelines and the number of successfully held hybrid conferences that carefully maintained the criteria were the backing factor in winning the bid.

The convening of INFOCOM in Tokyo, the center of academic activities for many research oriented societies, will significantly impact engineering professionals in communications technology and information networking in Japan and on professionals from around the world TMG and TCVB will continue supporting INFOCOM to deliver a successful and unforgettable Conference in Tokyo.
