Chairman and CEO of ASM Global (Asia Pacific), Harvey Lister has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2021 for significant service to the arts, tourism, sport and to the venue management and events industries.

The Honours recognise outstanding Australians who have generously contributed to their community, to Australia globally and domestically.

For 50 years, Harvey Lister has been involved in the development, presentation and management of events spanning sport, the arts, conventions and exhibitions, concerts and general entertainment. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the tourism and leisure industries.

Following the 2019 merger of AEG Facilities and SMG, two of the world’s leading venue management and services companies creating the world’s largest venue management company, ASM Global, Mr Lister became Chairman and CEO of ASM Global (Asia Pacific), responsible for overseeing ASM Global’s portfolio in Australia, New Zealand, India, Asia and the Middle East.

ASM Global President and CEO Ron Bension described Harvey Lister as a legend of the entertainment and events industry in Australia.

Harvey Lister has always willingly shared his knowledge and experience with the industry and generously supported his local communities.

In addition to his corporate roles Harvey Lister currently holds a number of positions with industry and community organisations including as Advisory Board Member, the Committee for Brisbane, Director of Australia’s peak tourism industry group, Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF) and Advisory Board Member, the Courier Mail Children’s Fund.

Harvey Lister said he was humbled by the appointment and thanked his family, friends and colleagues for their support over many years.
