In a unified effort to further the opportunities afforded to the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) (iaee.com) future leaders, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) (www.visitlasvegas.com) announced it will award scholarships to two graduates of IAEE's Robert L. Krakoff Future Leaders Institute to attend the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF) (www.eceforum.com) on 1 June 2011.
Eligible scholarship participants must be employed by an exhibition or event organizer and must have successfully graduated from the Future Leaders Institute. Applicants will be required to submit an essay detailing their learning objective for attending ECEF, and based on a comprehensive review by a panel of industry executives, the scholarships will be awarded in March 2011. Scholarship recipients will receive a full ECEF registration, round-trip airfare and a two-night hotel stay.
"This collective effort by IAEE, LVCVA and ECEF shows that together, we are committed to the excellence of the future leaders of the exhibitions and events industry," says IAEE President Steven Hacker, CAE. "This unprecedented opportunity will make a positive and valuable difference in the careers of those who choose to enhance their professional development by applying for these scholarships.”
The 2011 Future Leaders Institute will be held on 1-4 June 2011 in Washington, D.C.
