Meeting Ambassadors of Florence are born
The Florence Convention Bureau has inaugurated the "Florence Academic Leader Program - FALP". This project was born from the desire of the Bureau to involve eminent academics who wish to nominate Florence as the venue of international scientific conferences.

For the first time Florence will have the support of prominent local personalities to develop the conference sector, as well as other important cities in the world who benefit from these initiatives for years.

The inauguration was held on Friday, December 10 at the Teatrino Lorenese at the Fortezza da Basso, with the first meeting of the program. This will be followed by a series of events during 2011.

The activities of the Bureau will be presented in front of the most eminent professors of the University of Florence, explaining his role and the opportunity to present the personality to join the project and become ambassadors of our business and the city as a whole.

Being part of FALP is to become an "ambassador" of the territory, taking on the role of privileged interlocutor in the fabric of the city, a civic leader, who can rely on a single operating and institutional support for the assignment of the conference.

Join the FALP mean access to an exclusive network which will ensure:

• Preparation and support for the application

• Institutional partnerships

• Visibility and prestige of scientific research

• Operational support of the local MICE supply chain

• A contribution to improving the image of Florence

The Florence Convention Bureau believes that the FALP will be a great resource to increase the visibility of our destination with local scientific and academic activities. An important occasion that strengthens the link between the scientific community, and city institutions.
