PlanetIMEX: Free programme of partner education on Community Day, 12 May

An extensive programme of sessions addressing the new business reality and delivered by IMEXs global partners has launched. Registration is now open for Community Day taking place on 12 May on Education Island, part of the new PlanetIMEX.

More than a dozen industry partners and associations will offer a combination of live learning and recorded sessions including panels, webinars, videos and forums. ICCA, IAPCO, EIC, IAEE, SITE, PCMA, MPI, GCB and Maritz are among the organisations delivering sessions, many of which look ahead to the new business landscape and recovery of the sector.

Timely and relevant expert-led sessions include a discussion on the learnings, pitfalls and opportunities from the current crisis with BestCities; IAEEs conversations about COVID-19 and virtual events; IAPCOs focus on building resilience and boosting engagement and a PCMA session on how to prepare for the post COVID-19 reality.

Theres also the opportunity to join a masterclass with the author of Meeting Design Institutes Multi-Hub Meetings; achieve greater sustainability and community engagement with RED Lab, and discover the lessons learnt from MPIs 12-hour virtual broadcast for Global Meetings Industry Day.

“The saying no man is an island couldnt be more true than now”, says Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group. “The whole business events industry is currently pulling together to address a new business reality. Likewise, PlanetIMEX is a true product of a collective, with our team working with our partners and wider community around the world to create opportunities to engage, stay focused and align where possible on a future based on collaboration not competition.”

The future stars of the business events industry will also come together at the virtual IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum also taking place on Community Day. Budding event professionals can immerse themselves in learning sessions as well as the opportunity to connect with peers and industry leaders from across the globe.

Later this month will see the launch of a peer-to-peer networking platform using Brella.

Thursday 14 May will round off with virtual networking and socialising thanks to SITE offering a fresh new take on SITE Nite Europe – Sites Got Talent. More details about these events to follow soon.
