Viparis: a two-time winner at the annual Safety Awards

Viparis is constantly looking for innovative solutions and services to meet its customers needs and provide support at every stage of their events. When organisers are planning the visitor paths for their events, safety is one of their overriding concerns. With this in mind, Viparis has redesigned its approach to safety: it now provides customers with made-to-measure services based on their needs and on the constraints of major international events.

The Safety Awards (Trophées de la sécurité), spotlight key innovations in safety and security and the professionals who implement them. This years edition, which was held in Paris on 24 September, brought together more than 700 safety and security experts. During this event, Viparis was awarded two trophies:

Silver medal in the "Corporate and Infrastructure Security" category for its use of the Internet of Things (IOT) to keep high-capacity events secure.

In 2019, Viparis launched an IOT solution at the Paris Convention Centre:

•     720 doors fitted with sensors and infrared barriers

•     Wireless anti-intrusion devices connected using the LoRaWAN protocol and secured by radiocommunication equipment

•     Interoperability with IOT building-monitoring equipment (temperature sensors, customer satisfaction buttons, etc.)

•     To meet the safety needs of event organisers, in less than 24 hours Viparis can deploy this system at all of its high-capacity sites.

Bronze medal in the "Partnership initiative" category for Vipariss new "Safety" offer, based on its ability to offer event-specific, customised support.

• Assisting customers with the design and operational coordination of the security / safety aspects of their events, in partnership with the Cispé consulting firm

• Use of a standardised toolkit, from the critical assessment phase, through to customer feedback

• Access to Vipariss infrastructure (CCTV, anti-intrusion systems, etc.)

• Access to Vipariss safety control room

• Optimised security costs

Cispé was selected to be a part of French Event Booster, an innovation platform for event organisers, which was co-established by Viparis in 2018. One of the platforms remits is to facilitate dialogue between companies and event start-ups, and as part of this, Cispé undertook to assess the needs and constraints of a number of event organisers. The company subsequently developed an innovative, tailor-made approach to ensure compliance with safety, fire, medical and health-related regulations for all types of events.

Viparis can offer turnkey solutions based on the specific security concerns of each of its customers, who are then given support at every stage of their event, from risk assessment to the rollout of a security solution. Thanks to Cispés expertise, Viparis can offer advice and make its infrastructures available, while providing the strictest safety and security conditions.
