10th European 
Farmhouse and Artisan Cheese & Dairy Meeting 2018 FACE in Kristianstad, Sweden

The 10th annual meeting of FACEnetwork (Farmhouse and artisan cheese and dairy producers European network) will take place in Kristianstad, in Sweden from October, 10th to 12th, 2018.

It will be a three-days event, including farm visits, a congress meeting, technical workshops and other meetings, and last but not least, the from now on traditional buffet of European cheeses.

Since 2009, FACEnetwork groups together associations representing farmhouse and artisan producers, as well as technical centers specifically involved in this sector, in the aim of defending the diversity of artisan cheeses and of developing common projects useful for the development of this sector.

To date, the association has 33 member organisations, based in 17 European countries: Austria, Germany, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, Belgium, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Sweden, where our 10th annual meeting and congress will take place this year.

The organisation represents directly 3000 producers (members of FACEnetwork). The targets pursued with the association FACEnetwork are the following:

 

• To identify the problems which arise comparatively in the different countries

• To exchange information in order to help everyone make progress on these problems

• To take common positions and defend them on a European scale
• To define and lead the projects which aim at answering the questions asked

Each year, around 100 participants, members of FACEnetwork and other interested person, come to this annual meetings with the aim of learning about study results, exchanging in the framework of group work sessions, visiting artisanal dairies, and also, tasting cheeses.
