MCI Expands Service Offering in the UK

MCI has announced the acquisition of Oxford International in a strategic move by MCI expand its service offering in the UK and for Oxford International to develop its existing client base by extending its global service offering.

Founded in Oxford in 1990, Oxford International is a full service agency and one of the UK's leading names in corporate meeting, event and conference management. A specialist in the pharmaceutical market, Oxford International has been the driving force behind some of the healthcare industry's most successful events for over 20 years and boasts an impressive portfolio of UK and international clients.

The company's experienced team is led by Managing Director, John Walker, who commented: “As an independent, niche organizer, we've found it increasingly difficult to compete for new business when procurement led opportunities are looking for global, multi-service organisations. We've been investigating opportunities that would enable us to expand our service offering to our existing client base for a while now, and felt that MCI was the right culture-fit for our business.”

Jennifer Jenkins, Managing Director, MCI UK, said: “The acquisition of Oxford International will help us to further consolidate our position in the UK market. We are very excited about the opportunities this presents for us.”

John Walker and the Oxford International team will continue to operate from their current premises in Oxford, United Kingdom.
